Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department offers a wide array of pharmaceutical services to Aquinas University Hospital patients and staff. This department is responsible for the procurement, storage, compounding and monitoring of medications both to inpatients and outpatients.

Our department also makes sure to hire only the deserving pharmacists, aides, and administrative staff to ensure proper pharmacy practice and keep up with the changing needs of the organization. The role of the pharmacist in providing sufficient supply of safe and effective drugs is complex. This can only be done if the medical staff and pharmacist have excellent collaboration. Doing this would certainly ensure the application of pharmaceutical care to patients.

Last July 1, 2008, Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) and Department of Health (DOH) inspected the Pharmacy Department. Except for some new requirements to be accomplished, Pharmacy was given a tertiary license to permit.

The department is also able to comply with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) requirements and renewed the S3 License of the Hospital.
