Admission Procedures
There are different reasons why a patient is admitted to Aquinas University Hospital. Whatever that reason may be, we always welcome you with open arms and hope you have a pleasant stay at our hospital. But before you can be admitted, there are several procedures that a patient must follow.

Figure 1. Admission Procedure
- Before a patient is admitted to AQH, he will be first asked to fill out the admission form.
- The nurse on duty will then interview you. You will also be asked about your medical history and other pertinent information. The nurse will check your blood pressure and your pressure rate.
- Depending on the request of the doctor, you will have to undergo some laboratory tests like urine sample or blood sample or you may have a chest X-ray, ultrasound or electrocardiogram (ECG).
- The doctor will then decide if you need to need to stay longer in the hospital. But for outpatients, they can go home right after the medical procedure.
- Meanwhile for emergency cases, patients will go directly to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
